TSS Befriending Perfectionism Workshop

Join us for a specialized workshop brought to you by TSS First-Year Experience and USC Counseling and Mental Health! Particularly during finals season, perfectionism may pose challenges - if you're struggling to overcome some of your perfectionistic tendencies, come to this workshop! You will learn more about the traps of perfectionism, develop new perspectives and learn tips to manage your perfectionism.

This is also a great chance to spend time with your fellow scholars before the end of the semester! All attendees will be able to receive a free TSS sweatshirt for their attendance.

Freshman Welcome

Freshmen attended 1 of 2 info sessions to familiarize themselves with TSS, meet other TSS members and leaders, and enjoy free cookies and TSS merch.

Panel with Professors

Attendees joined Professors Paul Tokorcheck (Department of Mathematics, USC Dornsife), Jody Tolan (Organizational Behavior and Leadership, USC Marshall), and Onursal Erol (Department of Middle East Studies, USC Dornsife) for a panel discussion of making the most of your time at USC, their areas of expertise and other subjects.

First Year Experience Panel

Trojan Scholars Society first-year students from a wide range of majors and career interests answered questions about their experience so far at USC. Attendees Learned about classes, research opportunities, internships, club involvement, and campus life!

Resume-Building Workshop

Attendees improved their resume-building and networking skills. Attendance was first-come, first-serve but priority was given to FYE Mentorship Students to ensure they could access the event.

Freshman Speed-Friending

First-years attended our Freshman Welcome, where we provided an overview of TSS and host a casual speed friending session — a great chance for members to make new friends.

Ask TSS Anything

Attendees got to know members of the TSS community personally (in an informal setting) and asked them anything from college life advice to clubs/organizations and whatever other questions they had.
